Unfortunately the Trucking industry isn't the only sector experiencing this. Good friend of mine owns a small local truck co. and put an ad online for a $7.00/hr secretary position. Told me he had over 250+ applicants, two of which had their Master's degrees. It's truly tough times for everyone, but the good news is that this industry is so vital that while jobs may be cut, we're still going to be better off than some of the other 'fringe' sectors.
